Shabbat Shuvah or the Shabbat of Return is not a festival as such, but the recognition of the importance of the Shabbat that falls in the middle of the Jewish Yamim Noraim, or Days of Awe. It falls between Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, and Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, and occurs in the autumn in the northern hemisphere.
