The Catholic Church, also known as the Roman Catholic Church, is the world's largest Christian church. With more than a billion members, over half of all Christians and more than one-sixth of the world's population, the Catholic Church is a communion of the Western, or (Latin Rite) Church, and 22 autonomous Eastern Catholic Churches (called particular churches), comprising a total of 2,795 dioceses in 2008.

.

Communion of Conciliar Catholic Churches

Communion of Conciliar Catholic Churches - "Envisioning the Catholic Church as it should be." What would it be like if you belonged to a Catholic Church where all Christians are invited to the Table of Christ? Where women and men may serve faithfully as either ordained or lay? being Catholic with a Capital C means that we possess all the elements of the Catholic faith that has been “believed in all places and at all times by all Church.”

.

Churches of Christ

Churches of Christ are autonomous Christian congregations associated with one another through distinct beliefs and practices based on their interpretation of the Bible. Represented in the United States and one of several branches across the world, they believe in using only biblical precedents for their doctrine and practices citing examples from the early Christian church as described in the New Testament. They typically reject doctrinal writings that disagree with their interpretations, and all religious creeds; the churches of Christ thus identity themselves as being nondenominational.[1]
