Dahwa Yemana is a Mandaean feast of five days that occurs in the late spring of the northern hemisphere. Its name is the Mandaic for Feast of John, and it is the celebration of the birthday of John the Baptist. It falls on the first day of Hetya. On this day Mandaeans perform baptisms amid family picnic feasts, hymn singing and sermons.

The following day is a fast day, commemorating the mass infanticide in Jerusalem by Roman soldiers trying to destroy the prophet.
