The articles Outline of the Bible, Genealogies of the Bible, and Gospel harmony (based on Matthew) contain a large number of redlinks. I would be willing to import the necessary articles from wikipedia but its not clear to me what all is involved (especially copyright laws) and moreover, i dont want to overstep my bounds. But, actually, i was really hoping that there was a bot somewhere that would do this automatically. Granpa 00:53, February 18, 2010 (UTC)

Hi Friso, I had to let you now that the problem I was experiencing earlier in saving my edits has been solved [???] I am so happy about for now I can put in articles. I thank all [you, CKB] who had a part in this blessing besides God.

By the way, I decided to go ahead a put in the article I did on "Palm Sunday" but gave it a different title which is actually true to its nature. The title is "Palm Sunday" according to John because all of the information i used is actually based the Gospel of John with other biblical references.

It is a short article and will need to cite others as references.

I already thought that this one was yours ive just added it to the Palm Sunday disambig page--Friso Yoyon Schaap(Talk) • (Religion Wiki Administrator) 16:39, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

I'd be interested in being an administrator

Thank you for your encouragement. It's great to be appreciated. Yes, I'd love to have administrator status.--Simon Peter Hughes 11:17, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

RE: miranism constructed religion?

Hey Friso,

Sorry for the late reply! I had been busy these past few days, but I fully agree that Mirianism should not be classified as a "new religion" but a Christian "school of thought" or philosophy. It is more of a result of an evolving religion that has too many sects to begin with. Mirianism tries to get back not just to the basics of Christ's teaching, but also its contextual roots. It is open to questions regarding religions, science, and even sexual orientation; areas in which many Christian denominations have been hostile.

Thank you for creating the template in place of the "Constructed religion" one. However, I think there are some spelling and grammar errors in the title: "This is a personal opinion or an personal aproach on an existent religion" should be "This article is about a personal opinion or approach on an existing religion."

But other than that, thanks again for bring up the correct classification of Mirianism. -Ano-User 08:42, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for reminding me I have corrrected my mistake. I guess I was really tired yesterday.--Friso Yoyon Schaap(Talk) • (Religion Wiki Administrator) 11:07, January 23, 2010 (UTC)
No problem, I will be happy to correct any misspellings or grammar errors if they so happen to appear on any other articles or I'll let administrators know if they should edit templates. Talk to you later! :) -Ano-User 02:41, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

Church of Arementine the Great

I think I need to point out that the Church of Armentine the Great does not exist. The pages about it are about it are, therefore, affected by our new policy on Constructed Religions. --Simon Peter Hughes 05:07, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

The creator ofthis article is already moving this article to the "new" wiki when he moved everything I will delete it here.--Friso Yoyon Schaap(Talk) • (Religion Wiki Administrator) 10:09, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

Timeline of the Bible

the article 'timeline of the Bible' has been deleted from wikipedia. I'm the author and i've been looking for a new home for it. Turns out its already here. Is there a way to prevent your software from trying to update the page by importing the new (deleted) version from wikipedia or is that even necessary? Also i would suggest moving the article to 'outline of the Bible' since that is more accurate. Granpa 03:16, January 25, 2010 (UTC)

There are big disclaimers at the top of the article and its talk page stating that the article is not about history and may therefore differ from other articles but its reaching the point where i feel that i must point out that it is mostly the product of my own personal studies. What is the preferred way of doing this? Granpa 22:48, February 11, 2010 (UTC)

Class Wikitable

I fixed the tables in the article 'outline of the bible' but i notice that the navbox at the bottom isnt right either. I'm guessing that like the other tables its because there is no class 'wikitable' defined in the site wide css. See http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:User_style#General. Adding the class to the css page would be quite trivial. You can just copy it from http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Common.css. (Section starting with 'Table formatting'). Granpa 19:48, January 25, 2010 (UTC)

Done you were right. I have copied the common.css to ours. Ive just checked your articles and it seems to be fixed now although i thought i saw still an error in one table. But I noticed you are working on the article.

Re:Bot Account

That seems fine with me.

I have not been able to contribute as much as I would have liked in the past few days. I am on holiday for Chinese New Year, staying in southern Taiwan, and, for some reason, it is painfully slow to edit Wikia on the hotel's computer.

Also, I accidentally lost my moderator and administrator status this week, I lost the ability to delete, move and rollback. I think this probably accidentally happened following the Constructed Religions, Rev Bem business. I contacted Wikia staff yesterday and they have now been restored.--Simon Peter Hughes 02:36, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

Well atleast it is fixed.----Friso Yoyon Schaap(Talk) • (Religion Wiki Administrator) 17:25, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

Personal philosophies

I think we need to say, "You are welcome to create articles in which you express your own personal beliefs and religious philosophies, however we ask that these articles be serious and honest. Do not create such pages merely in order to cause offense to followers of other religions. Do not make false claims about your philosophy, do not claim that it has hundreds or thousands of years of tradition or millions of followers around the world if you can not verify those claims." When people make those claims, what they have written crosses the line from being a personal philosophy to being a mock religion.--Simon Peter Hughes 09:45, February 7, 2010 (UTC)

I have edited the section on opinions, adding the words I wrote above.

I have searched for "l'vsh" and "l'vish" on Google, Yahoo and Bing and obtained no results. I have to conclude that it doesn't exist. So, that's exactly what I was talking about, a good opinion piece but false claims, suggesting a non-existant long history. I have edited the article to remove those suggestions.--Simon Peter Hughes 06:13, February 8, 2010 (UTC)

Template:r

There is considerable discussion at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Village_pump_%28proposals%29#Suspend_replacing_of_ref_by_Template:r_in_citations about replacing <ref> with Template:r and I thought you might want to know about it. Granpa 00:36, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

thanks I will keep an eye on that page.----Friso Yoyon Schaap(Talk) • (Religion Wiki Administrator) 16:06, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

Also, have you looked into http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Using_the_python_wikipediabot? You might be able to program it to act as an 'automatic-importer bot'. (I am assuming that it could be made to work for a wiki other than wikipedia) Granpa 20:14, February 9, 2010 (UTC)
